The Expo and Beyond!

We've got big plans for the Calgary Expo next weekend, and we hope you're all going to be there! All of you. Every. One. Of. You.

Catching up

Yes, I'm still here! Old Block Industries still adapting properties, Whodinii revolutionizing how Talent is found, and Genesis Medical Education Consultants equipping California's healthcare professionals with the newest skills.

Things have been busy.

I am just stopping in to jot down some 'What's New' for later review. If the above mentioned list hasn't grown by the power of 50 this time next year, I'll build a time machine to travel back and punch myself in the throat.

I'll deserve it for being a lazy bastard.

Beginning at the Beginning.

First, let me inform any readers of this blog that you will never, ever, get this time back. The time that you spend at this site, reading this blog, making a comment. Not even the time it took you to navigate to this page, probably by accident.

That said, continue at your own risk.

What I take the time to write is nothing that could not have continued to go unsaid. However, I have felt the need to say them, insofar as I put fingers to keys and struck them in the correct order. Many of these things can be viewed as offensive. If anything I say offends you, you are stupid. I don't mean that. Yes, I do. Kind of.

These thoughts and ideas that I put out there are never personal. I don't have that kind of energy. I have a wonderful life, business, wife, and family. When I complain about something, it is with a cheek full of tongue. I think every situation has an inherent humor that can, and often times, should be mined to exhaustion. Anyone who knows me will understand that when I say something that could be construed as mean or downright hurtful will see that those words are just that; words.

Words only mean what you feel they mean. If you want a brain spinning definition of this kind of philosophy, check out Heinlein's, FOR US, THE LIVING. That guy was a decent author, and a hell of a thinker.

There will be times when I look back at the words I put down and I will cringe when I read them later. Either at the shallowness of the concepts, inarticulate form and execution, or just unfunny jokes. But I am resolved to be okay with being where I am, when I am there.

This is a shaky first outing, and that is being veeeery generous. Style and substance will follow as I find a rhythm, stride, and direction. This is a place for me to be seen, warts and all.

We'll see.
